Welcome to Guram.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 15 years, and let’s be honest, leading a business can be tough. I’ve had plenty of moments where things felt overwhelming.
When I discovered journaling, everything changed. It brought calm to my mind, clarity to my decisions, and over time, reading back my entries became a treasure of insights and lessons.
I started Guram with one clear goal: to bring back thinking moments for founders and leaders. Somewhere along the way, most of us lost the simple habit of pausing, reflecting, and truly thinking.
The world is louder than ever. Notifications, responsibilities, and the pressures of leadership pull at us constantly, and now AI wants to think on our behalf as well.
But there is gold inside your mind. You just need the clarity to uncover it. That is where our products come in. We help founders and leaders declutter their minds and find their gold.
- Ralph Wolbrink, Founder Guram
Thoughtful. Grounded. Respected.
The name Guram is a tribute to one of my personal heroes. A former player and captain of my favorite football club. He wasn’t the flashiest or the most talented, but he was a true leader. Thoughtful. Grounded. Respected. He stood for what mattered and fought for his team. That’s the kind of presence I hope to be in your corner.
We all need a Guram in our team.
My own founder story

2008
The start
Alongside our jobs in online marketing, a good friend and I decided to start a few online projects. Just because we thought it was really cool. Before long, we had a small team of students helping us out, and that was our first real introduction to managing people.

2011
Becoming an agency
Up until that point, we were just having fun with digital projects, but the fun was starting to fade. We missed diving deep into online marketing. So, we updated our website and decided to open up to consulting clients. An hour later, we got our first email from a potential client. Totally unrelated to the website update, of course ;)

2013
Going Full-time
That first lead became our first client, and together with some savings from our earlier projects, it gave us the chance to take the leap into full-time entrepreneurship. It was also time to move into our first official office, a small but nice room in a shared building in the city center.

2014
A crossroad
Things were going well. We had more than enough clients and were having fun along the way. But then we hit a crossroad. Either stay as freelancers in disguise or build something bigger. We chose the latter.
In those conversations, we decided we needed a culture code. Something that reflected who we were, and something to guide us when hiring future team members. Looking back, that was one of the most impactful decisions we made.

2015
The first hires
We started to grow and moved to a new bigger office. And we were really lucky with our first hires. They truly embodied our culture code and made a huge impact on the agency.
For me, a new role began. Managing people and steering the business in the right direction became more important. I started diving into everything I could find on workflows, strategy, and building teams. And I loved it.

2017
Becoming mature
We had a strong philosophy of only doing work we could actually be proud of. That meant saying no to some clients and missing out on a few deals. But it made our culture stronger, and we kept growing.
Our team outgrew the office, and once again we had to move. This time to a bigger space, and for the first time, not in a coworking building. We were maturing in all sorts of ways.

2019
Dreams come true
Over the next few years, we made mistakes, learned, and kept improving. We grew into a team of 15 experienced and amazing people. To keep up, we had to rent another floor in our building.
Not just for more desks, but also to build our own usability lab, a big office canteen, and extra meeting rooms. We were now working with big brands, and more importantly, they stayed and were happy with the work we delivered.
And one personal dream came true. We signed my favorite local football club as a client. Hup Vites!

2022
Selling the Agency
In 2022, we got a message from someone interested in buying our agency. We had received messages like that before, but this time felt different. It felt like the right moment to seriously consider it.
After some back and forth, we made the decision to sell. We believed it would be a good fit for our team and our clients. And for us, it meant the road was open for new adventures.
Looking back, it fills me with pride, but also a bit of sadness. This agency was more than just work to me.

2024
Start of Guram
I took some time to explore different projects. I moved with my family to Spain, read countless books, spoke with many people, and listened to even more podcasts.
All those learnings, combined with years of experience, inspired me to create quality products that help you reclaim moments to truly think.
Thanks for reading. I really hope to hear from you soon.

Talk less. Think more.
There was a time in my founder journey when I felt lost. Things were moving fast, and it all started to feel a bit overwhelming.
That’s when someone suggested journaling. I was skeptical, but I gave it a shot. And honestly, the shift in my mindset was huge.
I went from chaos and uneasy feelings to clarity and calm. For the first time in a while, I could see the bigger picture again. It was a game changer.
The thing is, most journals aren’t made for entrepreneurs. So I decided to create one for myself. And now, I can share it with you.
If you’re serious about becoming a better founder, give it a try. Let this journal guide you through the noise and back to focus.
